The new suggested role of User Engagement Analyst for Online Products would require a professional to fully experience and analyze the full experience that is available from virtually every online product that is currently offered on the Google platform. Although the position would require some basic engagement with technical/engineering elements, the person best suited for this role would focus on how non-technical users engage with online Google products and work to understand the reasons others avoid using these tools. The professional in this role would participate in focus group research to discover solutions to deep-rooted avoidance issues related to segments of the Internet population and provide feedback, solutions or workarounds to technical staff who are developing the next generation of online Google tools. This position would report to teams with an internal blog.
It would be a pleasure to apply for this position, but it is not included in the list of jobs that are currently advertised at jobs.google.com, so I have applied for the following job instead:
Product Marketing Manager, Google Apps (Enterprise) - Mountain View

This series is a skills showcase of Clint Garwood, a senior-level marketing consultant actively campaigning to get a Google job. I am happy to interview for and discuss this and other positions with Google (or with other companies) where my skills and extensive experience can find a good home. I am willing to relocate and/or travel extensively as a condition of any suitable work offer made to me. Thank you for considering me for Your Team. I am looking forward to hearing from you very soon.
The series for my career blog in February will suggest a variety of new jobs/positions (for Google to create) that I am capable, willing and able to handle. While these job descriptions do not actually exist, I suggest that each new position I recommend could provide a significant benefit to a forward looking company. I am happy to discuss these and other jobs with any company where my skills and professionalism can find a good home.
