This external-focused blogger shares ideas and explains light technical concepts related to products that are currently in, existing and coming into Google Labs. This light side of web technology presentation would be designed to share new product ideas that are being currently developed/tested by the Google Labs team to external audiences. This blog would be a sounding point for questions, criticisms and discussions.
The role of the blogger would be to start and keep discussion going about Labs products and to encourage trial, testing and feedback to development teams. This external-audience blogger will be responsible for encouraging experimentation of Lab’s products and should integrate feedback and experiences received as comments into new blog posts. The individual will also be responsible for using suggestions that are provided to the company about potential new products for the Labs product as a way to pilot new product ideas to a larger audience. This blogger will solicit feedback and honest feedback from visitors to their blog including criticism and questions through the comment sections of each/any blog post.
It would be a pleasure to apply for this position, but it is not included in the list of jobs that are currently advertised at jobs.google.com, so I have applied for the following job instead:
Product Marketing Manager, Consumer Search - Mountain View

This series is a skills showcase of Clint Garwood, a senior-level marketing consultant actively campaigning to get a Google job. I am happy to interview for and discuss this and other positions with Google (or with other companies) where my skills and extensive experience can find a good home. I am willing to relocate and/or travel extensively as a condition of any suitable work offer made to me. Thank you for considering me for Your Team. I am looking forward to hearing from you very soon.
The series for my career blog in February will suggest a variety of new jobs/positions (for Google to create) that I am capable, willing and able to handle. While these job descriptions do not actually exist, I suggest that each new position I recommend could provide a significant benefit to a forward looking company. I am happy to discuss these and other jobs with any company where my skills and professionalism can find a good home.
