The Beagle is a Publicity Hound

The Beagle as a Marketing Dog is a master of public relations, PR or publicity. This hard working show-hound sports an even tempered nature, intelligent demeanor, and a decidedly distinctive voice.

This Beagle Marketing Dog has an instantly recognizable howl, which is a familiar sound to journalists, other publicists and marketing professionals who have had the opportunity to get to know this specialized Marketing Dog breed. Like the K-9, the Beagle Marketing Dog is a tracking fanatic, who locks onto a goal and dedicates its strength, stamina and focus towards connecting with an on-the-move target.

Often used by industrial (and municipal groups i.e., customs/military) these publicity marketing dogs are by nature on the hunt for tidbits of news, sources, background stories and other items that could be of interest, harm or benefit to the managers they work alongside.  Probably the two most famous Beagles were both cartoons including Underdog and Charles Schultz's Snoopy who of course is famous in the comic strip Peanuts for writing letters to the editor and publishing stories about "... a dark and stormy night...”
